Friday Check in at the airport for your flight to Naples. On arrival you will be met by our English–speaking guide and transferred to your chosen hotel. You will have the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore your surroundings before dinner.

Saturday Breakfast and a Welcome Meeting with your Omega representative, and then a day at leisure.

Sunday A further day to relax, unwind, and explore your resort.

Monday Today we set off early to embark on a full–day excursion by boat to the lovely island of Capri. For centuries Capri has lured generations of artists, writers and celebrities with its outstanding natural beauty and, more recently, its top–end designer boutiques and bustling café culture. A short funicular railway takes you from the harbour of Marina Grande to Capri town, and your visit includes a walking tour around its little streets and alleyways. You may wish to take a stroll among the balmy green Gardens of Augustus (admission €1pp), which offer good sea views, or perhaps take a boat trip around the island to see the Blue Grotto (€17pp). Later on we carry on to Anacapri, a little higher up in the mountains, where there is an optional visit to Villa San Michele, a house–museum offering the best views on the island (admission €7), or alternatively you could take the chairlift from Anacapri to the summit of Monte Solaro (€11 return). We return to Sorrento in time to enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Tuesday Breakfast and then we drive along the Amalfi coastline, said to be the most spectacular highway in Europe. The tour stops first just above Positano, which boasts picturesque white villas perched dramatically on the steep hillside. Then on to Amalfi; once a powerful and prosperous Maritime Republic, and now a thriving holiday resort. The cluster of white tightly packed houses rising up the hillside is dominated by the mosaic–clad St Andrew's Cathedral, a fabulous confection of Romanesque, Norman–Gothic, Byzantine and Arab styles. Admission is €3 and you are asked to cover up (shoulders and knees). From Amalfi we visit Ravello which nestles 1100 feet above the sea and is famous for its terraced gardens and gorgeous buildings. Chief of these is the Villa Rufolo (admission €5), known as 'a miniature Alhambra'. If you wish you can also visit the museum in Ravello's cathedral (admission €3pp).

Wednesday After breakfast the coach will arrive to take you on today's half–day excursion to Pompeii, a place which scarcely needs any introduction. First excavated in 1748, the site of Pompeii stands on a great plateau within plain view of Mount Vesuvius, its Nemesis, in the distance. Here you have the opportunity to see actual Roman houses and streets in situ, with frescoes still visible on the walls of some of the houses, and graffiti in the cart–rutted streets. The scale of Pompeii is surprising, and there's a lot to see, so it's not a bad idea to take a guide–book, plus a sunhat and some water as there isn't much cover and it can get very hot. After we return, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Thursday & Friday Two free days to simply relax or explore the Sorrento area at your own pace.

Saturday A final breakfast, then you must reluctantly say 'arrivederci' to the Bay of Naples and transfer to the airport at the appropriate time for your flight home.

Please note that all admission/ticket prices are based on 2016 information and may change in 2017.
